What Will This Stop?

(Spoiler: Probably more than you think.)

This is the question everyone asks. Doesn’t matter if they whisper it or shout it—it’s the first thing out of their mouth:“Okay... but what will it stop?”
Our hoodies and t-shirts are built with UHMWPE. That means they’re tested to NIJ standards to stop:
9mm (including +P and subsonic)
.40 S&W
.45 ACP
.357 SIG
.44 Magnum
Let’s Get Technical for a Second
We use UHMWPE—ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. It’s a mouthful, but it matters. It’s 40% lighter than Kevlar, resists moisture better, and doesn’t break down when you sweat through it. It even flexes easily with your movement.
But Can It Stop...?
If you’re asking about .223, 7.62x39, or anything coming out of a rifle barrel—no, it won’t stop that. That’s rifle territory. You want ceramic or steel plates in that case.
Civilian isn’t that. We do everyday protection for everyday threats.
Here’s the Part Nobody Says Out Loud
Most shootings in America are done with handguns. Not ARs. Not AKs. Not rooftop snipers.
If you’re the kind of person who carries, trains, and thinks ahead—this is the layer that gives you time. And seconds can be more valuable than we realize.
